Hi. I have no idea where this is going to go. I signed up by mistake and have now been encouraged by Kim to start blogging. I assume it will be mostly family that initially reads this, with readership slowly but steadily declining over the next few posts until I am finally able to use it as a private journal.

Forget the declining readership notion, Dave... we are all going to be checking on this blog most days, and may even create links so that others can join us in enjoying the insights and humor that you and Arlene post each time! :-)
Welcome to the wonderful world of blogging!
Thanks Joanne.
The painting arrived today and it's gorgeous. Thanks so much. It's always good to buy a painting from an artist just before she becomes famous.
I am SO glad that you have the painting safe and sound and that you like it. Truly, if it does not meet your expectations, I would gladly take it back. (LOL) Once it is framed and hanging, and you can step back to view it, I think it will be that focal point in your room that you wanted it to be...
As for being famous - I'll let you know how that is going just before my 100th birthday. Maybe by then, I will be known for my age if nothing else!!!
Your avitar (picture of you both) looks great. I also really like the template and color that you chose for your blog. You two are very creative! Let me know how the framing and hanging of Red Tulip Day goes.
Joanne
I laughed so hard I woke the baby¡ I;m glad you;re blogging, Dad. It gives us yet another forum in which to laugh together. I am sorry to tell you that I think blogging is actually an illness. And it gets progressively worse the more you do it. But at least we will be in it together. I am thinking that I will have to set up a favorite links part on my blog so that I can link you and my mom from my site.
